  2. WHAT DATA WE COLLECT AND WHY
    a) Order & billing data — name, email, billing address, country, and (for businesses) company name and VAT number. Purpose: to process your order, deliver the product and License key, issue a legally required invoice, and provide support. Legal bases: performance of a contract; legal obligation (tax/accounting).
    b) Payment data — processed directly by our payment provider ([Stripe / PayPal / other]). We receive confirmation of payment and limited transaction details, but we do not store your full card number. Legal basis: performance of a contract.
    c) License activation & validation data — when you activate Instant Search Pro on a website, the plugin sends your License key and the site domain/URL (and its IP address) to our license server to activate and periodically validate your License. Purpose: to deliver the licensed service, prevent misuse, and provide updates. Legal bases: performance of a contract; our legitimate interest in preventing License abuse.
    d) Support data — the content of emails/tickets you send us. Legal bases: performance of a contract; legitimate interest in helping you.
    e) Website & technical data — IP address, browser/device information, and server logs, plus cookies (see our Cookie Policy). Purpose: security, fraud prevention, and to operate and improve the site. Legal bases: legitimate interests; consent (for non-essential cookies).
    f) Marketing data — if you subscribe, your email for our newsletter. Legal basis: consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
  3. WHO WE SHARE DATA WITH
    We share data only with processors who help us run the business, under data-processing agreements: our payment provider, our hosting provider, our email/SMTP provider, our accountant (for invoicing/tax), and, where used, our analytics provider. We do not sell your data.
  4. INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS
    Some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area (e.g., in the USA). Where they do, we rely on an adequacy decision or the EU Standard Contractual Clauses to protect your data.
  5. HOW LONG WE KEEP DATA
  • Order and invoice data: for the period required by tax and accounting law (in Romania, generally up to 10 years).
  • License activation data: for as long as your License is active, plus a reasonable period afterwards.
  • Support messages: no longer than necessary for the matter (typically up to [24–36] months).
  • Marketing data: until you unsubscribe.
