This website does not use analytics services, advertising pixels, social media trackers, or embedded third-party media. We do not profile you and we do not sell your data — to anyone, ever.
WHAT DATA WE COLLECT AND WHY
a) Order and billing data. When you buy Instant Search Pro, checkout is operated by Freemius, Inc. (USA), our reseller and Merchant of Record. Freemius collects your name, email, billing country and (for businesses) VAT number, processes your payment, and issues your invoice, under its own privacy policy (https://freemius.com/privacy/). Freemius shares with us the information needed to fulfil your order — such as your name, email, purchase details and License key — which we use to deliver the product, provide updates and support you. Legal bases: performance of a contract; legal obligation (tax/accounting).
b) Payment data. Payments are processed by Freemius and its payment processors. We never receive or store your full card number. Legal basis: performance of a contract.
c) License activation and validation data. When you activate Instant Search Pro on a website, the plugin sends the License key and your site’s domain/URL (with related technical details such as plugin and WordPress version) to the licensing service to activate and periodically validate your License and deliver updates. Purpose: to provide the licensed service and prevent misuse. Legal bases: performance of a contract; our legitimate interest in preventing License abuse.
d) Support data. The content of emails you send us, and the contact details you include. Legal bases: performance of a contract; legitimate interest in helping you.
e) Website and technical data. Our hosting infrastructure keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser/device information, pages requested) for security and fault diagnosis. Legal basis: legitimate interests (site security and operation). See also our Cookie Policy — this site sets no analytics or marketing cookies.
f) Withdrawal form data. If you use the “Withdraw from contract” form, we process the details you submit (name, email, order number) to handle your withdrawal and refund. Legal bases: performance of a contract; legal obligation.
WHO WE SHARE DATA WITH
Only with providers who help us run the business: Freemius, Inc. (checkout, payments, invoicing, licensing infrastructure), our web hosting provider, our transactional email provider, and our accountant (for invoicing/tax records). Each processes data only for these purposes. We do not sell personal data.
INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS
Freemius, Inc. is based in the USA, and some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens, transfers rely on an EU adequacy decision or the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, so your data keeps GDPR-level protection.
HOW LONG WE KEEP DATA
Order and invoice data: for the period required by tax and accounting law (in Romania, generally up to 10 years).
License activation data: for as long as your License is active, plus a reasonable period afterwards.
Support messages: no longer than necessary for the matter, typically up to 24 months.
Withdrawal requests: as required to document the withdrawal and refund.
YOUR RIGHTS
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to the processing of your data, the right to data portability, and the right to withdraw consent at any time (without affecting prior processing). To exercise any right, email contact@marincas.net — we respond within one month. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Romanian supervisory authority, ANSPDCP (https://www.dataprotection.ro), or with your local data protection authority.
SECURITY
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures — encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls, and regular software updates — to protect your data.
